Sourced from the Hex River region of the Western Cape.
 
Sediment 01 presents a mineral-rich dark red clay body. Mountain sand was introduced as grog prior to forming, resulting in a coarse surface and a subtle metallic sheen after firing.
 
Natural variation in colour and surface texture is inherent to the material.

Installation
Drill a hole using a size 10 masonry bit to the depth of the fitting (mark the bit with tape for accuracy).
Keep the fitting attached to the orb. Insert into the hole, press flush against the wall, and twist to tighten. The internal fitting expands to secure the piece.
Orbs are interchangeable and can be replaced without removing the wall fitting.
