Heel presents solid, uninterrupted colour. The clay body is fully stained, allowing the colour to exist within the material itself. No glaze or paint is applied.
 
In grof variations, the surface layer is removed prior to firing, revealing the grog within the clay body and creating a coarse texture.
 
Each aesthetic documents a specific pigment combination.
 
Natural variation in tone and surface texture is inherent to the process.

Installation
Drill a hole using a size 10 masonry bit to the depth of the fitting (mark the bit with tape for accuracy).
Keep the fitting attached to the orb. Insert into the hole, press flush against the wall, and twist to tighten. The internal fitting expands to secure the piece.
Orbs are interchangeable and can be replaced without removing the wall fitting.
