Clay from this region carries a more volcanic character, resulting in greater elasticity during forming and a naturally fine grog within the body. Laag 01 identifies a distinct clay occurrence from this site, producing a dense, mineral-rich surface after firing.
 
Natural variation in tone and surface texture is inherent to the material.

Installation
Drill a hole using a size 10 masonry bit to the depth of the fitting (mark the bit with tape for accuracy).
Keep the fitting attached to the orb. Insert into the hole, press flush against the wall, and twist to tighten. The internal fitting expands to secure the piece.
Orbs are interchangeable and can be replaced without removing the wall fitting.
