Glimlag introduces a graphic intervention through a nerikomi process. Because the design is embedded in the clay rather than applied to the surface, each orb reveals the expression differently. No two faces are exactly the same.
 
These pieces contain a high proportion of grog, leaving the surface rough and the design distorted as the clay is formed into a sphere. The result is slightly dystopian.
 
Only three are produced of each colour combination.
 
Natural variation in tone, texture, and expression is inherent to the process.

Installation
Drill a hole using a size 10 masonry bit to the depth of the fitting (mark the bit with tape for accuracy).
Keep the fitting attached to the orb. Insert into the hole, press flush against the wall, and twist to tighten. The internal fitting expands to secure the piece.
Orbs are interchangeable and can be replaced without removing the wall fitting.
